The official SendApp plugin
The SendApp plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce is free on WordPress.org. It connects the shop to SendApp with one click, without copying keys.
- WhatsApp messages for orders: confirmation, shipping with tracking and the other statuses, with your Meta-approved templates.
- Abandoned carts: a reminder with a link that restores the cart, only to customers who gave consent.
- An AI assistant that knows the shop: it searches your products live (name, price, availability, link) and tells customers where their order is. The catalogue is never copied.
- SendApp chat on the website.
How to connect it
- Install the plugin from WordPress.org, or search «SendApp» in WordPress → Plugins → Add new, and activate it.
- Open SendApp → Overview and press Connect to SendApp.
- Sign in to SendApp, choose the WhatsApp number and confirm: you are back in WordPress, already connected.
- In SendApp → Apps → Online shop the shop shows as «Connected»: with «Try the search» you see the products as the assistant finds them.
Who sends the messages
In the plugin choose «Manage from SendApp» (the messages start from SendApp's Automations, with the order and cart events) or «Send from WordPress» (the plugin sends them: SendApp records orders and revenue without writing to the customer twice).
Disconnecting
«Disconnect» in the plugin, deleting the plugin or «Disconnect shop» in SendApp → Settings → API keys: the key is revoked and SendApp stops reading the shop.
Alternative: webhooks by hand
Only if you cannot install the plugin: with the webhooks below your customers become SendApp contacts, tagged and reachable with Campaigns.
How it works
On every event in your WooCommerce shop we create or update the contact in SendApp (name, phone, email) and tag it. We don't send messages on your behalf: you contact the leads whenever you want with a campaign or via API.
Step-by-step setup
- Copy your Webhook URL from the box above (select the account first).
- Log in to WooCommerce from the WordPress dashboard and go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Webhooks.
- Create a new Webhook, set the Delivery URL to the copied URL (the format is JSON by default) and choose the Topic among those that contain customer data:
- Order created
order.created - Order updated
order.updated - Customer created
customer.created
- Order created
- Save.
Avoid topics that only concern products or coupons: they don't contain a customer and don't create anything.
General rule: choose events that include customer data (name, phone or email): without a phone or email the contact is not created.
What happens next
The contacts coming from WooCommerce are created and tagged (woocommerce) in SendApp. Reach them with a campaign filtering by that tag, or through the API.
Verify
Create a test order on WooCommerce and check that the contact appears in SendApp. If the phone or email is missing, the contact is not created.

- Paste this URL into WooCommerce's webhooks (cart/checkout and order events).
Which events to enable?
- Cart"Pending"/"Checkout draft" order
order.updated - Conversion + contactsOrder creation
order.created - ConversionOrder update (Completed/Processing)
order.updated - ContactsCustomer creation
customer.created
For "true" abandoned carts on WooCommerce you need an abandoned-cart plugin that sends a webhook to the same URL.
- Cart"Pending"/"Checkout draft" order
- Go to Automations and create a rule with the "Cart abandoned" trigger.
- Choose a WhatsApp template: you can include the link to complete the purchase and the total.
The order events let us know who purchased: anyone who converts is excluded from the reminder automatically. Anyone who completes the purchase won't get the reminder — not even if they pay while the sequence is waiting.
