Emailchef
When a contact reaches a point in one of your Emailchef flows, you can send them a WhatsApp message.
Before you start
- In SendApp: WhatsApp connected and a template approved by Meta.
- In Emailchef: a flow.
1. Paste the address into Emailchef
- On the Integrations page open the Emailchef card, choose the AI account and press Create automation: a switched-off automation opens, with the Emailchef event already chosen.
- Copy the address you find ready with Copy. It belongs to this automation only: keep it private, whoever has it can start it.
- Open or create a flow and, under System Elements → Actions, add Send webhook.
- With the basic setup you just paste the address: Emailchef sends the contact's available data. With the advanced setup you paste the address, leave the method on POST and compose the header and body yourself.
- Emailchef's guide mentions name, email and date of birth, not the phone: if it is missing in the test, add it to the body with the advanced setup. For the field names, see Data example (for your technician) in the editor.
2. Run a test in Emailchef
- Leave the SendApp automation switched off: the call is saved as an example and no message goes out.
- Press Test Webhook in the Emailchef action.
- Then come back to the editor: the data appears by itself in a few seconds.
3. Check the data received
In the editor the fields received appear by themselves, with their values. If you do not see them, press Refresh. What counts is what you see in the test. This guide lists no fields because they depend on how you set up Emailchef. If nothing appears, check the pasted address.
Then finish the automation
- Under Who the contact is, leave Recognise automatically or pick the phone field yourself: a WhatsApp template needs the full number with its international prefix, so check it in the test.
- Select the Send WhatsApp template step, pick the template and, for each parameter, pick the field from the Data received group.
- In Emailchef, check that the flow is active.
- Save and switch the SendApp automation on, then repeat the test with your own number.
Good to know
- Promotional messages need the customer's consent.
- If you generate a new address, the old one stops working at once: paste the new one into Emailchef.
- Emailchef's menu names come from its official documentation and may change.
